Teachers Network is unique in its focus on the teacher as key to improving student achievement in public schools. Through its leadership, Teachers Network empowers teachers to transform public schools into creative learning communities so every student will succeed and contribute to the public good. Over the years, we have directly impacted over 1.5 million teachers and nearly 40 million students.

Make a Gift of Stock

Your generous gift of appreciated stock is of great benefit to Teachers Network , but also to YOU!  Please read below for more information:

To give a gift of stock, or to answer any questions you might have, please contact Peter Paul, Vice President. He may be reached by phone at (212) 966-5582, or by e-mail.

Here's how it works:

Suppose you buy 100 shares of XYZ Company at $10 per share; the total value is $1,000. Then the stock's price climbs to $100 per share. Now the total value of the stock is $10,000. If you donate the 100 shares of appreciated stock, you receive two benefits:

1. A $10,000 tax deduction
2. No capital gains tax on the $9,000 you made

In addition, with $1,000 of your money, you have given a gift of $10,000 to fund our program-bringing the highest possible quality education to students throughout the nation and world."
